Armor of God - The Helmet of Salvation: Part 10 of 13

Preview: This is the tenth part of a thirteen-part series entitled: ARMOR OF GOD.


Scripture Reading: Romans 13:1-14.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 6:17.

1. What instruction is given to those who have put on the helmet of salvation in the foregoing Scriptures?
Note: When we accept God’s salvation it compels us to show respect for authority.
2. What was Paul’s warning in his letter to the Church at Thessalonica? I Thessalonians 5:1-8.
Note: A helmet is a piece of armor that protects the head while in battle; so also is the helmet of salvation. It protects the head and preserves the mind of God’s people.
3. What are the characteristics of those who have on this helmet? I Thessalonians 5:9-22 & Philippians 2:5.
4. What has God promised those who are faithful to His calling? I Thessalonians 5:23-24.
Note: Salvation preserves us in trouble and danger. It delivers us from sin and its awful consequences.
5. How did Isaiah describe those who had on this helmet? Isaiah 40:27-31.
6. Did he understand even in his day that Jesus is our only salvation? Isaiah 53:1-6.
Note: God never fails and never changes. Jesus has always been man’s only hope from the foundation of the world.
7. How did Peter explain this? Acts 4:10-12.
8. Where are God’s laws written when we have on this helmet? Hebrews 10:12-16.
9. Are we guilty of condemning Christ to death when we reject his message? Acts 13:26-28.
Note: We cannot be a child of God without this helmet. This means that God’s laws become our character; otherwise we condemn Him to death and don’t even know it.
