Preview: “The light” in the context of the Bible is the Word of God. We are held responsible by the Lord for studying the Word and living by its precepts. The intent of this lesson is to reveal the rewards and dangers of our choices in regard to the light.

Scripture Reading: Acts 10:1-8.

Memory Verse: Proverbs 6:23.

1. Who is the light of the world? John 8:12.
2. How are we to walk in Christ? Colossians 2:6.
3. What has God given us to guide our feet? Psalm 119:105.
4. Why is it important to walk in the light? John 12:35.
5. What will become of the light that one has if he fails to walk in it? Luke 11:34-35.
6. Why did the sin of those who rejected Christ remain? John 9:41 & John 15:22.
Note: With advanced light comes increased responsibility. Present truth always brings with it present duty.
7. Why are those who do not come to light condemned? John 3:19-21.
8. What will those who reject light and truth finally be led to believe? II Thessalonians 2:11-12.
Note: The opposite of light is darkness; the opposite of truth is a lie. For those who reject light and truth, only darkness and error remain.
9. Upon what condition only may we be made partakers of Christ? Hebrews 3:14.
Note: In our Scripture Reading we found that Cornelius was a devout man, one who feared God. The reason the Lord favored Cornelius with a visit from one of His angels was that his spirit was pleasing to God. All may receive advanced light if, like Cornelius, they seek it and are willing to walk in it when it comes.
