The Revelation of Jesus Christ

1. What is the purpose of the Revelation? Revelation 1:1.
2. To whom will God give His blessing? Revelation 1:3.

8. What “special” number is mentioned throughout this chapter? Revelation 1:4, Revelation 1:11-13, Revelation 1:16, Revelation 1:20.
Note: Many have wondered why just these particular “seven” churches are mentioned when there were many others. Also, many wonder why the number “seven” is used so many times. Seven is the perfect number, denoting completion or fullness. The vision of seven churches covers the entire history of the Christian Church in all its phases and experiences.
